The Fareezi are a pentamerian species of sentient extraterrestrials discovered by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise on the planet Fareezz or Mu Arigulon V in Michael Schuster and Steve Mollman's Star Trek: The Original Series novel, A Choice of Catastrophes (pp. 130-131). When members of the species are first encountered, they are in suspended animation in cryopods. They instruct the crew that they describe themselves as the community-of-the-Children-of-Fareezz (p.308).
