Mardecin

Mardecin is a town in Amadicia, just east of the border with Tarabon. Some call it a mere village, but it is a mile across. It straddles a small stream between two hills. It is prosperous enough that many houses have slate roofs instead of thatch.

After the civil war in Tarabon, the city begins to decline due to the loss of trade. Many shops and houses are empty, and the goods available in the markets are poor quality. Whitecloaks abound in the street, ostensibly to keep the peace.
