At the beginning of The Dragon Reborn, Pedron Niall is at the Fortress of The Light. Jaret Byar has brought him a drawing of the Dragon Reborn, and confirms that Geofram Bornhald's troops were attacked using the One Power.
At the beginning of The Fires of Heaven, Pedron Niall is said to be conducting secret negotiations, trying to convince Altara and Murandy to cede land to Illian, to forestall Illian from invading one or both of them.
At the beginning of A Crown of Swords, Pedron Niall is in Amador, at the Fortress of The Light. After he loses a game of stones with Morgase, his supposed spymaster, Abdel Omerna, comes to see him. Omerna brings him a message from Tarabon, probably about the Seanchan. Before Niall can tell anyone, Omerna stabs him, only to be killed by Eamon Valda.
